Bernstorffparken: The posh dog park

There is a nice dog park near where we live but on the weekends we often go to Bernstorffparken which is a HUGE dog park in the very posh neighborhood near the school I work at. Some rich guy, Bernstorff, willed his estate to the city when he died (late 18something) with the stipulation that it had to be a place where people could have their dogs off leash.

Ven's favorite area in the park is the large field leading up to the castle.

The castle occasionally gets used for dinners and balls for the Danish Military but is otherwise unused. The front lawn sees a lot of action though.
Whenever we go there it's as if one of those "Dog Breeds of the World from A to Z" encyclopedias has come to life. Here are some of the photos from yesterday:
Chocolate Lab.
Golden Retriever.
Pug, English Cocker Spaniel puppy, Borzoi (Russian Wolf Hound)
Irish Wolf Hound
Boxer, Cairn Terrier, 2x Petite Basset Griffon (A wirehaired basset hound from France)
Black Lab mix, Beagle, Doberman Pinscher.
English Springer Spaniel, 2x Dalmation.
2x Danish/Swedish Farm Dog (aka Scandinavian Jack Russel)
Ven's favorite part of the whole experience is all the butt sniffing but what we like is that he's exhausted afterwards. It takes us about an hour to get all the way around the park but it takes the rest of the day for the dog to recover.
